SUMMARY:Northern Metropolis Route 1 (10 Nov\, 2024\, Sunday)
DESCRIPTION:Departing from the Liu Man Shek Ancestral Hall\, a declared monument\, to visit one of the largest ancestral halls in Hong Kong\, then through Sheung Shui Wai to Tsung Pak Long\, past the Five Saints Ancestral Hall and the Bok Man School\, and then run to one of the oldest shrines in Hong Kong\, the Earth God Shrine of Kam Tsin\, and then through the Kam Tsin Village Ho Tung School to another declared monument\, the Hau Mei Fung Ancestral Hall\, to learn about the history of the North District of the Hou clan in Sheung Shui\, and then through the Hou Chung Fook Tong Temple\, before running to the former Jardine Gate at Lee Gardens\, Causeway Bay\, and then through the Sheung Yue River to the Lady Ho Tung Welfare Centre\, Learn the story of Ho Tung in the Kwu Tung area\, and finally learn about the Kwu Tung North Development Area via Castle Peak Road\, and finally end the tour at Tai Fu Tai Mansion. \nStart time \nWalking Tour: Starting at 09:00.\nRunning Tour: There are two starting times available\, starting at 09:00 and 09:15 . During the enrollment\, please indicate your preferred starting time. \nWalking group A: 0900 am\nRunning group B: 0900 am\nRunning group C: 0915 am \nDetail of the heritage run (Route 1 Walking) \n\nDistance: 8km\nTiming: ～2.5 hours\nTarget participants: Open to anyone who can walk continuously for 8km\nRemarks: The route maybe slightly shortened depending on the situation \n\nDetail of the heritage run (Route 1 Running) \n\nDistance: 10km\nTiming: ～3 hours (with an average pace of 8-10 mins/km)\nTarget participants: Individuals aged 16 and above with running experience\nDifficulty: Challenging\, with some uphill sections (participants should have the ability to complete a 10KM race) \nCost\nParticipation in the event is free of charge. However\, all participants are required to pay a deposit of $100 by credit card\, which will be refunded after attending the event. Please note that the deposit will not be refunded if a participant fails to inform the organizer of their absence within 24 hours prior to the event. \n\nDonation\nKTSI is committed to promote community sports for Hong Kong by organizing various sports event and activities.
