DESCRIPTION:Departing from Kam Sheung Road MTR Station\, passes through Kat Hing Wai\, learns about the history of the villages in Kam Tin\, and then visits the Yi Tai Study Hall\, which was once the highest institution of learning in Kam Tin\, and then visits the major buildings of the Kam Tin Tang Clan\, including Tang Kwong U Ancestral Hall\, Tang Tsing Lok Ancestral Hall\, Lik Wing Tong Study Hall\, etc. After that\, you will pass by the Kam Tin Tree House\, then cross the Kam Tin River\, go to Yuen Long Old Village to learn about the history and architecture of the old village\, and then go to the vicinity of Wang Chau to visit the Yu Yuen\, which was once the filming location for many Hong Kong films\, and the I Shing Temple\, a declared monument. DESCRIPTION:Departing from the former HK and Whampoa Dock\, passing through the coastal areas of Hung Hom and To Kwa Wan\, runners experience the scenic views of the Victoria Harbour. Then proceed to the iconic “Fishtail Stone” located in To Kwa Wan promenade\, an erstwhile maritime landmark. Next\, runners will visit the Kowloon City Ferry Pier\, which is a Grade II historic building. Continue on to the Ex-Ma Tau Kok Animal Quarantine Depot\, runners explore the old industrial histroy of To Kwa Wan. Afterward\, runners head to the Kai Tak Sports Park which will soon be opened\, learn about its design\, and appreciate the special design of the pearl like architecture of the main stadium. The route then cross the new Kai Tak Development Area and reach the Kowloon Walled City Park\, where you can delve into the history and remnants of the former walled city. DESCRIPTION:Departing from To Kwa Wan Station\, the route traverses seven hidden hillocks in Kowloon City. First\, it will pass through Lok Man Sun Chuen and the former Tin Kwong Road Police Quarters\, arriving at Quarry Hill (also known as Red Light Hill)\, where you can experience the grandeur scene of planes taking off and landing from the hilltop. Then\, it goes back to the Lo Lung Hang Hill\, overlooking the scenic views of To Kwa Wan. Next\, it heads to No.12 Hill\, located above Ho Man Tin MTR Station\, which is the hidden place for watching the habour firework. The route continues and will visit Oi Man Estate\, allowing you to experience the unique HK public housing design\, the well-like architecture that offers a view of the sky. The route then goes to the former Kowloon cemetery\, including Ho Man Tin Hill and Waterloo Hill\, passing by the former CLP headquarters\, and arrives at the Kadoorie Hill\, which exhibits Bauhaus building style around the hill\, and also allowing runners to feel the tranquillity within the bustling city. DESCRIPTION:Co-organised by Eastern District Office\, Kai Tak Sports Initiative\, Kai Tak Sports Park and Antiquities and Monument Office\, the 2023-24 Eastern District Cultural Festival: Eastern District Heritage Run take runners to the city corners and feel the richness of cultural and historical heritages of the Eastern District. By understanding the stories behind\, runners learn the cultural and history by sweating and working out! \nThe running tour start from the Woodside Biodiversity Education Centre (formerly the Woodside Mansion). Running to the Wilson trial and Hong Pak Country Trial\, participants will witness the old days from the wartime cooking ranges\, Mount Parker Cable Car and Taikoo reseviour. Running along the Kik Lok Tung Temple\, Kwun Yum Temple and Lau Kwan Cheung Temple\, participants will experience the religion’s atmosphere in the area. Finally the route go through the Ming Wah Dai Ha and Shau Kei Wan Main Street East and end at Museum of Coastal Defence. \nWalking tour starts from the old Taikoo Dockyard to know the history of the old dockyard and sugar refinery. The route then leads to the Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery. Along the waterfront\, participants walk to Tai On Building to experience the HK old days. Passing by Holy Cross Church\, participants will understand the history of Sau Kei Wan Squatter Houses and villages.
