DESCRIPTION:The Shatin route kicks off at Shatin MTR station\, taking you through the area of Pai Tau Village\, where you will immerse yourself in the charm of old village scenery. Continuing on\, you will pass through the Tung Lo Wan Tsuen to visit the Li Cottage and the Pok Ngar Villa. Next\, you will venture into Tai Wai Old Village to experience the authentic scenery of a traditional Hong Kong-style walled village. Finally\, your journey will lead you to Tsang Tai Uk via Che Kung Temple\, where you can uncover the history of the local Shatin residents. The run will conclude at the Sha Tin Road Safety Town\, with the Old House at Wong Uk Village serving as the final destination. \nRunning Tour: There are two starting times available\, at 09:00 and 09:15. During enrollment\, please indicate your preferred starting time.\nWalking Tour: There will be only one session\, starting at 09:15. \n(The running route may be adjusted slightly based on the fitness level of the participants.) \nGathering time\nRunning group A: 09:00\nRunning group B: 09:15\nWalking group C: 09:15 \nDetail of the heritage run (running)\nDistance: 8km\nTiming: ~2.5 hours (with an average pace of 8-10 mins/km)\nTarget participants: Individuals aged 16 and above with running experience\nDifficulty: Challenging\, with some trails and uphill sections (Participants should have the stamina to finish a 10K run) \nDetail of the heritage run (walking)\nDistance: 6km\nTiming: ~3 hours\nTarget participants: Open to anyone who can walk continuously for 6km \nCost\nParticipation in the event is free of charge. However\, all participants are required to pay a deposit of $100 by credit card\, which will be refunded after attending the event. Please note that the deposit will not be refunded if a participant fails to inform the organizer of their absence within 24 hours prior to the event. \nDonation\nKTSI is committed to promote community sports for Hong Kong by organizing various sports event and activities.
